21 Day Fix- Chicken and Broccoli

I’ll be the first to admit I’m not a black and white type of girl. I color outside the lines, I believe that sometimes you overlook the rules for your own sanity. So that said, this meal is portioned for the 21 Day Fix meal plan BUT soy sauce is technically not 21 Day Fix approved. It’s sad I know. But there is just too much sodium for those of you looking for extreme results. Now, for those of you like me that are just looking to maintain a healthy, balanced diet with the containers- I love this recipe. It’s a family favorite and it’s way better than going out for Chinese.


1.5 lb chicken cut into bite size pieces
1/4 cup flour
2 Tbs olive oil
4-6 cups broccoli
12 oz mushrooms (optional, my husband hates them so I leave them out)

1 cup water
1/4 cup honey
1/4 cup soy sauce
1 tsp ginger powder
1 tsp garlic powder

1. Toss chicken pieces in flour to coat
2. Heat oil and add chicken
3. Mix sauce ingredients in a small bowl
4. Once chicken is cooked through, add broccoli and sauce
5. Cook for 5 more minutes or until broccoli is at desired tenderness

Container Count: 1.5 cups of chicken and broccoli = 1 green, 1 red, 1 tsp
You can serve over quinoa, brown rice, salad greens, or in a tortilla. Or be a rebel like me and eat it as is.

    I made this last night for my son ( who is so picky and won’t eat any kind of veggies). It was a big hit! Two helpings on his part. Thank you for a great idea!!
