When I look at the girl on the left I see someone who
*is uncomfortable in her own skin
*works out regularly but can’t loose the weight
*struggles with self confidence
*eats away her emotions
*feels lost and without direction
When I look at the woman on the right I see someone who
*is confident and full of life
*fuels her body with dense nutrition instead of sugar
*is in the best shape of her life
*chases her dreams with passion
That girl on the left is who I was when I settled. I wasn’t unhappy, but I wasn’t excited about my life either. The days blurred together with no purpose or direction. I was married, had a job, and I was stuck. I knew I wanted more but I had no idea what that looked like.
Despite my active lifestyle I had gained an extra 15lbs that I could not get rid of. I had a friend posting about the amazing benefits of Shakeology and on a whim decided to try it.I had zero expectations that it would do anything. Just another new year’s resolution marketing ploy. Skeptical of this superfood shake and its equally suspicious price tag, I took a leap of faith. Actually it was more a leap of desperation than anything else.
I cannot be more thankful for that low moment than I am right now. Looking back I hardly recognize that girl. Over time I’ve become the woman on the right. I won’t tell you that a shake changed my life because I know how ridiculous that would be to believe. I will say that it was a catalyst to a host of events that led me to become the fit, confident woman that I am today. I’m far from perfect but my days have meaning and I have a passion to help as many people as I can get their life back.
I share my story because I’m just the average woman who got caught up in life. I got married, I got a job, I stopped taking care of me, and I let my light fade. I’m forever grateful that a friend reached out and shared her story and inspired me to change mine. If you want to loose weight, eat better, get more organized, or just find passion in your life again, I’d love to hear from you.
